We received the annually allotted 2 days of winter snow this week.
It seems to be a perpetual occurrence whether we live here or back in Little Rock.
I am glad, however, that it is short lived. 2 days is about all I can take of the snow and I am very much looking forward to the June temps again.
Don’t get me wrong, I agree that 2 days of snow can be pretty (when you’re

watching it from a warm house with a cup of hot cocoa) but the havoc it wreaks is torture! First and foremost, it’s FREEZING! It’s too cold for any venturing outside without apparel rated for Siberia, no one can drive anywhere, before it hits everyone freaks out, runs to
Walmart and empties it of all bottled water, milk, generators, survival gear, first aid kits, and whatever else is on the “Survive Y2K” list, the entire city shuts down, and poor Ginger has to endure the icy, slip-
slidey snow, while I look on like a worried mother hen, bracing her and at the ready, 2 inches away, prepared to catch her so she
doesn’t break a hip.
Yes, I cant wait for June. Thank goodness we’ll be back up in the 60’s next week.

So the great news about this year’s storm: Dan’s trip overseas was delayed and eventually cancelled. He was scheduled to depart the night it all came marching through, only to get delayed a day and inevitably cancelled. Hurray! It’s always nice to have him home for 3

0 days straight. The bad news is, he chivalrously assigned himself the duty of clearing Ginger’s ramp, the sidewalk and driveway of ice…a few times over and over. I was very appreciative, as was Ginger, that on the 2
nd day Ginger could actually go down the ramp and I could get the truck out because of his labors.
So what does a family do when they are stuck inside? Hang out, play games, giggle, have fun, snuggle, and
enjoy the company.
Oh how I wish I knew what the Elephant was whispering to Grayson.
It must have been a great joke. Funny Elephant!
Shhhew! We're tired from all the playing!
Dan playing the "vroom, vroom, high chair as a Nascar racer" game. It's always a hit.
Let's go to Mommy & Me class!
