Swing to my Lou, my darlin’!

Every Monday I get together with 2 good girlfriends for a “play date”. I use the quotes because at this age the kids have fun playing together, but it’s also a time for us girls to chat in adult tones, share advice, funny Mom stories, and all around good girl time. Today was no exception.
Unfortunately, one of the girls couldn’t make it, so Lily and Grayson toughed it out without Jackson by taking a walk on a beautiful 80 degree day to the park 5 seconds up the road.

As you can see, we found the bitty-kiddo swings and the bitty kiddos enjoyed every second. Grayson and I both love our play date Mondays!

Here fishy fishy!

Two Saturdays of baby swim classes have passed and Grayson is developing into a phenomenal little fishy. I can’t tell you how happy that makes me!
I love to swim; I love the water, and could stay at the pool from dawn ‘til dusk.
Truth be told, I have many fond memories of spending dawn to dusk at the pool with the Sis.
And because of these memories and my fondness for water, I knew I had to get Grayson adapted for our upcoming summer. Thankfully we found a little class right around the corner.
So far both sessions have yielded water temperatures a bit on the chilly side, but little man seems to adjust swimmingly. (Har, har!)
After 10 minutes of acclimation (aka, snuggle as close as possible to Mom), I have one of the best little swimmers who is willing to jump, back float, paddle, kick, dip, and splash. He really has done well, naturally kicking up a storm and it makes me so proud!

One of the best parts of swim class is little Miss Lily, Grayson’s best girlfriend. Cutie pie Lily and Grayson are fast friends. It’s cute when they see each other…there’s a moment of adorable facial expressions that seem to say: “Hey!” “Hey!”.
One can only imagine what they’re saying, but my guess is something about the chilly water temps and how much they enjoy the water once acclimated.
Three cheers for super swimmer Grayson and here’s hoping he has inherited the water-baby gene. Hip Hip Hurray!
Make sure to check out all of the photos here.
Happy Swimming All!
