Egg Hunt and Bunny Love

We headed over to the massive egg hunt this morning and let me tell you, all the action did not disappoint.
It was a huge setup with over 15,000 eggs and about 100 kiddos rushing around. Our great friends decided to come along for the fun and to cheer Grayson on as he “hunted” for the eggs too! And when I say “hunted”, I mean Grayson walked around and picked up eggs lying in plain sight. We’ll see how our version plays out tomorrow morning. Hopefully he’ll have as much fun finding hidden eggs as he did stockpiling them today with his great friend Bailey.

By far the best part of the festivities was a visit with the Easter bunny.
When we spotted Mr. Bunny, I immediately thought “There’s no way Grayson will even want to get near him”, which is in total character if you remember his reaction to the Red Robin mascot.
But nope…little man was ecstatic, completely impatient and practically tackled him for a hug.
Poor kiddo had a rough lesson about what waiting in line means too. We had to take a couple minutes to calm down but when it was finally our turn, he went running into Mr. Bunny’s arms. I seriously thought he would run in the opposite direction. Definitely a pleasant surprise that he wanted to share some hugs. It was so much fun!

I’ll make sure to take a bunch of pictures of little man dying eggs and all the fun tomorrow. So make sure to check back soon!

Peek-a-boo!

Delaney's expressions were so cute this morning during our game of Peek-a-boo.
I usually get bundles of giggles, but today she was so inquisitive and curious.
Such a cutie!

Fish Jr.

It’s no secret that Grayson and I love the water, no matter what form it comes in…pool, beach, bathtub, water hose…ok, maybe not the plain hose, but once I set up the water wiggle this summer, we’ll love it too.

Here’s little man playing with his new water toy. So much concentration, so much fun and 3 changes of clothes a day. Hurray water!

I love those deep dimples
Pssst...Hey Momma!

Enjoying the water play
Who's on your shirt Grayson? ELMO!!!!!!!!
Break in play when Grayson hears an airplane...
Apple didn't fall far from this tree.

Bubbles, tractors and pink ruffles and bows

It’s been heaven on earth here in South Carolina the past few weeks.
Sunny, warm, gorgeous…well, except the pollen. Everything, and I mean everything, has a layer of yellow. Dan gallantly sprayed off all our decks and sidewalks 4 days ago and today it looks as if all that hard work never transpired. A for effort, for sure. The yellow dust sure is a pain, but on a bright note, it does bring 80 degree temperatures with it. And did I mention it is GORGEOUS? Oh, I did? ;-)

Well today little Delaney took an extra long nap so Grayson and I headed out on our deck instead of our usual hot spot (the park) to soak up some of the sun.
Armed with a colossal bucket of bubble liquid (and a smaller, more manageable sized one for Grayson to use), a bunch of bubble wands and even a bubble machine, we were ready to have some fun.
Let me tell you, we had a BLAST with the bubbles. No surprise really, he's loved blowing his own bubbles since our amazing neighbor kiddos taught him to do it 8 months ago. But something I didn’t anticipate was even more fun...a big yellow tractor.

The house across from us is getting dirt delivered from a gigantic bright yellow tractor. Oh the joys of being a 21 month old boy, getting to watch a tractor go up the street, pick up a big pile of dirt, drive back down the street and then dump it all. Our morning was filled with lots of bubbles, running, waving to and hollering “Tractor!!!!” and of course sheer delight. So much fun.

I also snapped a few pics of Delaney before she headed into bed. Little Lady is already fitting into her 6 month size summer gear. She’s growing so fast!!

Wait, what's that coming down the road?
Tractor!
Hi Mr Tractor!!
