Happy Hilton Head Holiday

This past week we had an absolute blast exploring Hilton Head Island.
Mom and Dad flew into Savannah and the 6 of us descended on HHI with full force.
The week was jam packed with activities; Mom and dad were able to golf at a few famous locations, we had plenty of beach enjoyment, loads of biking, great food, awesome company, and of course the wildlife.
We saw a dozen different gators, milling about in their ponds. So exciting, yet scary at the same time.

We all had such an amazing time. And the community is super fun too. Certainly a great place for our family to retire…not only are you surrounded by warm weather and beaches, but imagine being able to bike everywhere you need to go! The only downfall is the proximity to family. It would be perfect if Mom and Dad decided to live there too!
We'll definitely visit Hilton Head again.

Birthday Celebrations at the Farm

Yesterday we got to celebrate our sweet friend Lily's 2nd birthday.
The four of us had a blast at the farm...loads of friendly animals, yummy food, awesome hay rides, great friends and soooo much fun!
Lily is super adorable and we were so excited to celebrate her birthday. And Kira and I will wait to tell Grayson and Lily that they've secretly been betrothed to each other. ;-)
Happy Birthday Lily!

Ten!!!

Being far away from our families, I usually take WAY too many pictures and videos. My hope is that it makes the family feel like they live right down the road and that they aren’t missing a beat. Our new challenge, though, is videotaping Grayson. He really wants to watch what I'm recording, not become the subject of it. I think it has to do with his FaceTime chats with GG (my mom). He definitely loves to watch her on the ipad.

So now that little man can count to 10 flawlessly and he LOVES showing us he can do it (he’s almost mastered counting to 20; I’ll try to record that soon), I decided to try and record his excitement.  I secretly set up the camera and hit record. He did it perfectly so many times, but we loved this version the best….Where he messes up and giggles playfully. It’s a perfect representation of our kiddo; so loving, excited, easy going, and joyful.  And I probably say it every time, but we sure are blessed!  Enjoy!

Choo Choo, Grayson's Two!

Ok, well, Grayson is ALMOST two. He’ll officially be two on June 7th.
We celebrated a little early this year with a train themed birthday party and it was so much fun!
Admittedly, I went a little crazy, yet again, this year. But it turned out really cute. Loads of train themed food, décor, coloring pages, a huge Thomas wood train set (thanks Sis!), matching train t-shirts for the family (thanks Mom!), our gigantic bubble machine and of course I ended up hiring a little choo choo train to come shuttle the kiddos around.  All in all, so much fun!
Grayson rode a few laps on the train, but remained hesitant to take any further shuttles. Not sure what spooked him, but not even Daddy or his best buds from next door could convince him to ride again.
No worries, all the other kids really enjoyed the train and Grayson loved to watch.
It was so great hanging out with all our amazing friends. Thanks for helping us celebrate little Grayson’s birthday!  There are a slew of pics below, but the rest are out on our picasa, just click here.
Happy Birthday Grayson!
