Annual Class Trip to the Zoo

On Friday, all of Grayson and Delaney’s classmates met up to take in the splendor that is Riverbanks Zoo.
I’ve done multiple posts about this place, rendering y’all very familiar with our fondness of it. That being said, I’ll spare you another round of mooshy, gooshy feelings and get on with the pictures.
If you’d like, here is the link to LAST year’s zoo classtrip. Comparing the growth on these munchkins is amusing, amazing and quite honestly brings tears to my eyes. The years are flying!

Enjoy!

The group assembles on the orangutan
A little lion love from my favorite girls
 Ooooh'ing and Ahhh'ing the Flamingos
Grayson: Look, there's Sylvie the Flamingo!
(PS, thanks for that book Aunt Sarah! They love it!)

Aaaaalmost tall enough to see over the penguin water
Counting snakes and their skins. Yikes.  Laney: "I don't like snakes Momma!"
Me: "Me either, Laneybug, me either!"
I think this gator is saying "If only this glass didn't separate us."

The fish are always a hit!
  The 3 musketeers
BFF Miss Pea and Mr Carrot
Forrest, Jenny and our amazing preschool teacher, Mrs. Maria
  Hi Mr. Giraffe!!

  So much fun!

  Love this!
All the munchkins blessed to have Mrs Maria as their teacher
We convinced her to join in too. Such a great group!

The Salt Life

As usual, we had an amazing time at the beach a few weeks back.
Dan and I both love the surf and sand and I adore seeing how much the kids appreciate it as well.
We always try to hit up our favorite spots, restaurants and activities, but this time we added “Pirate Adventure” to our docket. It’s the aquatic/pirate version of Medieval Times and it was incredibly entertaining. Especially in our snazzy front row seats! They even have enormous seals and sport dogs participating in the show.  A perfect combination of thrillers: pirates, swashbuckling battles, water acrobatics, animals, a bit of comedy and pyrotechnics! How can you go wrong?!  In no way am I kidding when I say the kids are STILL talking about the show and their most favorite scenes. From where we stand now, it looks like we’ll have to add that evening to our regular agenda. Yay!

Below you’ll see all our pics, numerous of course! But make sure to get to the bottom for a few videos, including one of Delaney having no point of exhaustion on the water slide. I’ll never forget hearing her repeatedly giggle and scream “Again, Again!”
Such great times!

Enjoy!

This giant eagle, about 2' tall, was the first individual to grace our balcony.
It scared the heck out of us, but boy was he mesmerizing.
Eagle gone, now the kids take in the spectacular view.
We're so happy here!
 Nothing beats the beach...nothing.
Let's get our protective bay going, Daddy!
Vrooooming cars along the sand wall

Big wave = "Oh my goodness" faces
Splash jumping should be an olympic event
They have so much fun together
 Cutie pahtootie
Daddy and Grayson build dinosaur decorated sand castles...

 Best Hubby Ever! Smoooch!

Getting ready to go into the Pirate show. No photography allowed in the arena though, so no pictures of all the excitement. Dang.
So sweet. We're off to fly kites.
