For his big day, we added green beans to his repertoire. He’s been eating rice cereal and baby oatmeal for about a month, but this was his first shot of “real” food.
The stage was set and the video camera was at the ready. Both Dan and I expected some sort of outcome equivalent to giving Grayson a lemon. We were prepped to see the icky, what-is-this-in-my-mouth reaction. Nope, not even a flinch. He ate it up as fast as his little tongue could gobble. He must be Dan’s little boy, because Momma is not a big green bean fan. We’ll see if he has any of my genes when the sweet potatoes, squash, broccoli, cauliflo
In other news, Columbia is FREEZING! We’ve been about 20-30 degrees colder than normal. YIKES! We’ve had to bundle up every time we leave the house.
And although it makes for some good laughs and pictures, we sure miss the warmer temperatures. The good news is, by Friday we should be back up in the 60’s. It will be a welcome change. Otherwise I’ll need to pull out the clothes I had to buy for Vancouver.
Man, that place was C-O-L-D!
Hope everyone’s holiday excitement is gearing up like our household too.
I absolutely love all the Christmas festivities, spirit and trimmings, but every year it gets harder and harder to find those special and unique gifts. And who wants to brave the mall right now? Not me!
Thank goodness all our Christmas shopping is done!
I usually have all the shopping done 2 weeks before Christmas, but I wasn’t messing around this year! I took the reins and had everything picked out and purchased the week after Thanksgiving. Record time! And let's be honest, probably a one time occurrence.
Plus, Dan got all the decorations up and sparkling too. He braved the cold temps and gallantly got all the outside glitter up, letting me and my voiceless, flu ridden self, stay warm inside to tackle the tree. All the decorations are a bit of a pain to put up, but once done the house looks so festive! And in true fashion, Grayson loves the sparkly lights. Why am I not surprised? Christmas here we come!
