10 Is A Great Number!

Today little Grayson is 10 months old!

A.Maz.Ing!

To date he has 5 teeth, and he's cutting the 6th.

His babbling has taken a turn into full-on Momma’s, Dah-Dah’s, Bah-Bah's and he’ll mimic any of those you request.

He knows the names of both kitties and Ginger, and when we say their name he swivels in a desperate quest to locate them.

He'll do the same swivel investigation to track down either myself or Dan.

He’s moving, scooting, rolling, and pushing in all directions and at some point I’ll figure out how to fasten a towel to him and let him mop my floor.

He eats almost everything we do, with the exception of those 1 year old requirement foods. He definitely takes after his father evidenced by the other night: after eating all his other food, he still managed to devour half a cup of diced strawberries in one sitting!! Maybe we should have named him Daniel Jr. Although, he definitely takes after me and loves all the veggies we arrange in front of him. Not to mention he could eat his weight in turkey too. Hmmm, like me a tad? :-)

He absolutely loves books and would probably let me read to him for hours, while helping me turn the pages, and glancing up with the sweetest smile when I make the funny voices.

Just like Dan, he will concentrate and soak in everything. Sometimes I swear I can see wheels turning through his skull.

And last but not least, he is such a calm and utterly happy 10 month old. He is constantly discovering, laughing, and his dimple drowned smiles and intense hugs and “kisses” are the highlight of my day. He's blessed our lives in so many ways and I could make this list last pages and pages. I truly love every day and can't wait to discover with him and watch him grow.

I promise he started with socks, they instantly got dirty. One of the pictures above shows them. And hey, he's half Arkansan anyway. That makes socks optional. :-)
