Great Friends, Great Fun

This week Grayson and Delaney had so much fun with their school buddies. On Tuesday we revisited our amazing zoo with Grayson’s BFF Julia and on Thursday we joined another fantastic friend at our local strawberry farm.
The zoo was, as usual, extremely exciting for the kiddos. We’ve been there numerous times and this place never gets old. The best part is the kids have an amazing time, run off a ton of energy and the mom’s get to catch up too. Plus, the animals are pretty great. The only change from our previous visits was the giraffe feeding deck. It seems like the kids swap reluctances, as last time Delaney didn’t want to feed him, and the time before that, Grayson just wanted to watch Daddy feed the gentle giants. Well, this trip, both munchkins were apprehensive, with only Laney getting no closer than 6 inches from his huge tongue.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens next time!

The strawberry farm adventure today was amazing. From April through mid-June, our household eats through 1½ - 2 gallons a week of strawberries.  Yup, that many. And I bet Delaney is responsible for more than half on her own. I have no idea where lil bit puts all those berries. Whew!
We have never actually visited the farm, where they let you pick your own; I’ve only purchased them at their farmer’s tent set up right down the road from our house.
Let me tell you, we’ll be back for the pick-your-own adventure. Beautiful sunny weather, good friends, and running around basically playing hide and seek for strawberries equals a fantastic time to be had. All of the pictures are below.
Happy Summer!

This was at the very beginning and, in true style, a bit shy

These two keep a keen eye out for each other, never letting the other out of their sight.
So adorable!
 Another group shot, minus Julia.
I think there's a rule somewhere that states no picture shall be taken with all children present and accounted for
Ooops, I spoke too soon. Too bad they were all looking at the animals and not me. :-)
One of the gorillas was right up at the glass that day.

This is as close as Delaney got to Mr Giraffe

 Goat feeding!

These two crack me up. They love to goof around. Anything for a giggle

 Carousel!

 Bring on the strawberries!

I love the smirks on Hannah and Grayson...as if they can't decide which to pick
It takes intense concentration to find the perfect berry
 Run through the field!

 How cute are they?
We had such a great time!
